More Than 115 Reasons
to Elect a New President
Worthy of a Great Nation:
Not the Abomination of an Obama Nation
(Based on an Idea and Initiative, and Built off a List, Launched by
KRLA Radio Talk Show Host and Constitutional Law Professor Hugh Hewitt)
1.
ObamaCare
2. The Wasted
$850 billion
Stimulus
3.
Chronically high,
persistent unemployment
4. Gas
prices
5. Failure to pass a budget. The unprecedented failure to get any kind of budget adopted during his Presidency, even when Democrats controlled the House and controlled a filibuster-proof Senate.
6. Multi-trillion debt free-fall. Falsely pledging to cut the deficit in half during his first term. Orchestrating a multi-trillion-dollar economic free-fall, with the nation presently more than $15 trillion in debt -- [Note: since I first started compiling this list, I have had to change the number of trillions-in-debt three times: from 12 to 13 to 14 . . . and most recently to 15] -- and proposing to raise the debt to $18.7 trillion by 2021. His 2011 "budget proposal" was smashed unanimously in the Senate and crushed in a House vote 97-318, as his own Democrats abandoned him in droves.
7. The
seizure of GM and Chrysler. The
illegal transfer of
private bondholder assets
to union bosses,

9.
Unremitting hostility to
10.
Failure to support
11.
Failure to support the Syrian people's revolution
12. Dodd-Frank. The disastrous 2,700-page bill that has caused one fiscal nightmare after another, disrupting corporations and financial markets. Notably, the Democrats' Dodd-Frank bill has proven so disastrous, unpopular, and counter-productive that both Sen. Christopher Dodd (D-CT) and Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) have announced that they will not seek reelection to Congress.
13. The
Gulf oil disaster.
Bumbling
in handling the
Gulf oil disaster
14.
Closing down on permitting new oil exploration. The
unnecessary moratorium on permitting oil exploration in the aftermath of the
Gulf oil disaster
15.
EPA interference. The
shutdown
of Shell's Arctic oil exploration by EPA
16.
Cap-and-Trade Fiasco. Pushing Congress to adopt what would have
been a disastrous "cap-and-trade" plan that would stymie the coal,
electric, and natural gas industries, while enormously raising Americans' home fuel
prices, leading even his own party's U.S. Senator from West Virginia to film a
TV promise to voters that he will
shoot the proposal full of holes.
17. Manipulating federal agencies like the EPA to bypass Congressional oversight and impose Cap-and-Trade . The attempt, after Congress refused to adopt his cap-and-trade nonsense, to bypass Congressional opposition and impose cap-and-trade undemocratically via the EPA.
18. Use of FCC initially to restrict free speech. Pushing for unconstitutional restrictions on free speech against those who disagree with him politically on Talk Radio.
19.
The Disclose Act and cherry-picking to whom it will apply. The
attempt to unconstitutionally impose
The Disclose Act
on his political opponents
but not unions via Executive Order
20.
Czars to bypass Congressional oversight. The
use of
unaccountable "czars"
21.
Boorish and arrogant shaming of Supreme Court justices. The
arrogant
oral assault on the Supreme Court while Justices courteously attended
Obama's first State of the
24. Refusal to prosecute Black Panthers for Voter Intimidation. Obama's and Attorney-General Eric Holder's politicization of the Department of Justice, including refusing to prosecute the Black Panther voter-intimidation case in Philadelphia.
25. Refusing to defend the Federal Marriage Act. Obama's and Holder's refusal to defend the Federal Defense of Marriage Act, an act of Congress.
26. Lies, Lies, Lies. The regular use of straw-man demonizations to try winning support for unpopular proposed legislation, like falsely accusing doctors of performing unnecessary surgery so that they can enrich themselves by imposing misery on their patients.
27. Throwing his grandmother under the bus. Using his grandmother as a foil to win points, calling her a racist like a "typical white person."
28.
Bowing to the Saudi King and the Japanese emperor
29.
Treating our British alliance contemptuously. Shamefully returning to
Great Britain the
bust of Winston Churchill
30.
Violating and abrogating long-standing promises to our allies. Removing the
missile shield from
31.
Standing with the aspiring Honduran dictator.
Backing the would-be
dictator of Honduras when that nation's duly convoked
Supreme Court had removed him from office
32.
FTAs with allies. Failure to push for quick ratification of
free trade agreements with
33.
Amateurish handling of Afghanistan military effort. The
painfully
over-extended
indecision,
for months, whether to
34. Amateurish mixed-message
35.
Radicalizing the NLRB by bypassing Congressional advice-and-consent safeguards.
Appointing [Harold] Craig Becker, a
radical
SEIU unionist, to the NLRB through a
"recess appointment
36.
Radicalizing the FCC by bypassing Congressional advice-and-consent safeguards. Appointing FCC commissioners who are pursuing "net neutrality" without
Congressional authorization
37.
Killing agriculture in California's San Joaquin Valley with ridiculous
environmental restrictions.
Wiping out much of the agricultural economy of
38.
Gitmo debacles. Promising to close
39.
40. Napolitano out of touch. The shameful failure of Obama's Homeland Security chief, Janet Napolitano, to appreciate the Obama Administration's security failures in the face of the near-catastrophe of the "underwear bomber" in the skies over Detroit, as she insisted "the system worked."
41.
Student loans. Government
takeover of the student loan program
42. Border security. Cancellation of the "virtual border fence" project with no replacement, while deploying National Guard troops to do paper work at desk jobs and provide office assistance rather than stand armed along the border.
43. The
"Beer Summit." In the aftermath of wrongly castigating and erroneously
pre-judging fault
regarding
the Cambridge Police Department
44.
Immigration and Arizona. The
Department of
Justice's attack on
45. The
attack on Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.
Attacking the Wisconsin governor and his state legislature for exercising
their sovereign legislative authority on public employment issues
46. Lying to McCain on their deal over campaign fundraising. Violating his pledge to John McCain to abide by McCain-Feingold limits for funding his Presidential campaign.
47. Downplaying American exceptionalism during Apology Tours. Apologizing to foreign nations for America.
48.
Manipulating Tragedies for Cynical Political Gain.
Falsely asserting that
49. Chicago Olympics fiasco. Shamefully inserting himself into a $467,000 botched campaign to bring Olympic Games to Chicago, thereby exposing the Presidency of the United States to ridicule and formal rejection, and demonstrating early-on his overconfident sense of himself and his unpreparedness for the seriousness of his office.
50.
Hypocritical attack on D.C. public school voucher effort. The
attack on a voucher program
51. Associating with the murky, with haters, and with unrepentant terrorists. Associations with convicted unrepentant domestic terrorists, racists and anti-Semites, and eccentric haters of America: the Reverend Wright, William Ayres, Van Jones, Derrick Bell. Accepting $1 million from misogynist Bill Maher. [WARNING: The linked reference for misogynist Bill Maher has him using a word that is regarded as the most filthy misogynist word in English, so should not be opened unless you have reason.]
52. Anita Dunn. Her war against Fox News and her boastfulness that the Obama White House has the "courage to speak truth to Power" -- when it is the White House, not a cable TV station, that is "Power"; her speech to schoolchildren, as a White House representative, sharing with the young and impressionable her idolization and admiration of mass-murderer Mao Tse-Tung; promoting the Obama White House agenda from the outside by booking radical law student Sandra Fluke's TV appearances.
53. ACORN. Obama's exposed and discredited community-organizing centerpiece agency ultimately stripped bilaterally of its millions in federal funding by a Senate vote of 85-11 and a House vote of 345-75.
54. SEIU. Having Andrew Stern, President of SEIU, as the man who has visited the White House more than any other person during the Obama term.
55. Teleprompters / White House for Dummies. A reliance on teleprompters to protect him from stumbling and bumbling speeches when, without scripting, he has spoken of his visits to America's "57 states," has denigrated the handicapped, could not pronounce "corpsman," ignorantly said that Austrians speak "Austrian," and referred to deceased war heroes adding that "I see many of them in the audience here today."
56. Arrogance and Haughtiness. An extreme level of personal
nose-in-the-air
arrogance and lack of graciousness, from physical comportment to the way he
addresses others. The
Greek columns.
57. Chicago Corruption. The house he corruptly acquired through Tony Rezko.
58. The artificial shifting dialects. Affecting an artificial accent when speaking to unions, and to others with whom he allies in his "class wars," that belies his (i) having grown up in Hawaii, (ii) being reared by a Caucasian grandmother, (iii) his having spent years being schooled in Indonesia, and later (iv) attending school at Occidental College in California, Columbia University, and Harvard Law School.
59. Lack of transparency. Refusing to share his academic records or the sources through which he paid for private college and law school, despite his pre-election calls for transparency.
62. Wasting billions on corrupt "Palestine" agencies. Pumping billions more into the discredited United Nations Relief & Works Agency (UNRWA) and the Palestinian Authority that merged with the terrorist Hamas.
69. The Marie Antoinette Factor. Michelle high-profile huge trips abroad, a la Eva Peron, with family friends and their children partying on the public payroll, at 5-star hotels in places like Spain.
70. Al Sharpton. Launching his national presidential reelection campaign with a speech to Al Sharpton's base.
71
72
73
78. Manipulating legislation by forcing votes on massive documents. Racing massive thousand-page legislation packages through Congress without allowing Congress or the American People time to read, comprehend, and absorb the bill -- and thus breaking a major campaign promise.
79. The Credit Rating downgrade. Presiding over the first credit-rating downgrade in American history.
80. Timing military campaigns to coincide with election campaigns. Manipulating and sacrificing the lives of American soldiers, basing a withdrawal from Afghanistan not on strategic national security considerations but timed instead to coincide with the start of the 2012 Democrat Presidential Convention.
81. NLRB. Stacking the National Labor Relations Board with left-focused political hacks who are attempting to prevent America's leading exporter, Boeing, from building a $1 billion manufacturing plant in South Carolina because that state permits employment of non-union labor.
82. Cynically manipulating the national Strategic Oil Reserve. Releasing 30 million barrels of oil from the United States Strategic Petroleum Reserve in order to obtain the temporary political goal of lowering gasoline prices that have skyrocketed in the face of his severe restrictions on permitting exploration in the Gulf of Mexico, along the Atlantic coast, and in Alaska in his obsessive pursuit of "green jobs."
83. "Operation Fast and Furious" debacle. Allowing Mexican drug lords to access illegal firearms, then losing track of the firearms while the drug cartels used the illegal firearms for crime including murdering Americans.
84. Lying, lying, and more lying to voters. Trying to create class warfare by telling people that Republicans' refusal to raise taxes will cause youngsters to be unable to finance their college educations, while causing seniors to lose health care and social security payments. Failing to admit honestly that Congress extended the Bush tax cuts and refused to increase taxes even when Democrats had a filibuster-proof Senate and veto-proof control of both Congressional chambers.
85. Investigating CIA patriots. The Holder investigation into CIA operatives' interrogations of suspected Al Qaeda terrorists and their use of methods that had been approved in advance by the Justice Department.
86. The Keystone XL Pipeline. Knowing how desperately America needs domestic energy resources and to wean away from reliance on foreign oil (in general) and Arab Gulf Oil dictatorships (in particular), yet cynically deciding not to engage the Keystone KL Pipeline project until after the 2012 elections in order to placate "green" voters.
87. Solyndra. Scandalously approving more than $535 million in loan guarantees to a failing "green energy" company that ultimately went bankrupt, losing more than 1,100 jobs, and cynically pressing the company to conceal the layoffs and job terminations until the day after the 2010 bi-elections for Congressional and U.S. Senate seats.
88. Supporting the "Occupy" Movement While Denigrating the "Tea Party." Repeatedly expressing support for the "Occupy Wall Street"-and-related-"Occupy" movements that have caused major cities more than $10 million in sanitation and policing costs by creating Obamaville tent settlements marked by severe crime, rapes, public health and sanitation issues, public sex acts and public defecations, and mass arrests -- all in support of an "anti-Wall Street" theme that cynically ignores Obama's unique fundraising connections to Wall Street, Obama's FreddieMac and FannieMae handouts and the millions of dollars in bonuses paid Obama appointees and loyalists, and the connection between George Soros, MoveOn.org, and Wall Street money.
89. Calling Americans "Lazy," Blaming Americans for the Economic Crises Arising from Failed Federal Policies, and Lecturing African-Americans to "Quit Your Whinin[g]." The repeated failure to accept personal responsibility for national problems arising from failed and misguided policies, instead attempting to shift blame onto civilians across the political and societal spectrum.
90. Leadership Truancy in the Face of a Deadlocked "Super Committee." Sitting outside the epicenter of Republican-Democrat debt negotiations undertaken by the Debt "Super Committee," offering neither vision nor leadership, and then pontificating immediately after the "Super Committee" conceded deadlock and defeat, unable to resolve differences over approaches to debt reduction and budget balancing.
91. Foreign Aid to China. In contradistinction to fair-minded differences among policy-makers whether foreign aid to Pakistan and other such societies advances American national strategic interests, blithely continuing to implement an unequivocally tragic policy of extending foreign aid to China with money that America must initially borrow from China, thus ramping American debt to China to such high levels that American interest payments alone pay for the upgrading of the Chinese military machine that threatens American strategic interests throughout the world -- and possibly America itself.
92. Campaigning for Office in Lieu of Focusing on Executive Responsibilities as the President. Devoting extraordinary amounts of public time to campaigning through Midwestern "swing states" and regularly traveling to Los Angeles Hollywood elites and New York Wall Street elites to attend fundraising soirees and campaign dinners, neglecting traditional leadership responsibilities historically borne by first-term Presidents facing reelection.
93. Harassing Major Job-Creating Corporations Like Gibson Guitar. Abusing the "Lacey Act" to protect special Obama-favored corporate interests by harassing a spectrum of companies like Gibson Guitar
94. The "Recovery Summer" That Wasn't. Creating a hoopla in June 2010 to promote the great "recovery Summer" that wasn't: "[A] six-week-long focus on the surge in Recovery Act infrastructure projects that will be underway across the country in the coming months – and the jobs they’ll create well into the fall and through the end of the year . . . [S]ummer 2010 is actually poised to be the most active Recovery Act season yet, with tens of thousands of projects underway across the country that will help to create jobs for American workers and economic growth for businesses, large and small." Not.
95. Seeking Advice from John Corzine as a Financial Guru. Frequently turning to Corzine for financial advice, placing him on the "short list" for Secretary of the Treasury, Biden calling him "the smartest guy I know on the economy," all while Corzine's MF Global lost $1.2 billion, capped by Corzine's sworn Congressional testimony: ""I simply do not know where the money is, or why the accounts have not been reconciled to date."
96. Defense Department, Following White House Guidelines, Describing the Ft. Hood Massacre as "Workplace Violence." Even as the gunman, Dr. Nidal Hassan, murdered thirteen and seriously wounded dozens more, rampaging and shouting "Allahu Akhbar!" a 24-page Defense Department report refused to see the incident beyond workplace violence.
97. Demagogically Lying by Asserting Publicly That Republicans Want Dirty Air and Dirty Water. In a campaign speech on October 17, 2011 at Asheville, North Carolina, telling the audience that Republican policy planners have said "Let's have dirtier air, dirtier water."
98. Impotently Reacting When an American UAV ("Drone") Was Lost in Iran. Rather than ordering its technologically to be destroyed remotely, embarrassingly pleading with Iran to return the Drone, leading Iranian leaders to mock: "Obama wants his toy plane back."
99. The LightSquared Scandal. Protecting Obama supporters George Soros and Philip Falcone by pressuring four-star Air Force General William Shelton to alter Congressional testimony about the dangers to national security caused by communications interference to GPS posed by the proposed LightSquared broadband signal.
100. Defying the Constitution to Name a New Czar. Exercising the imperial opaque Presidency, in contempt of the United States Constitution, by naming Czar Richard Cordray to head up Obama's new "Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)" even though a Presidential "recess appointment" was illegal because (i) Congress was not in recess, and (ii) the CFPB legislation requires that its head be approved by the U.S. Senate.
101. Defying the Constitution to Appoint 3 Puppets to the 5-Person NLRB. Exercising the imperial opaque Presidency, in contempt of the United States Constitution, by naming three puppets to the National Labor Relations Board even though a Presidential "recess appointment" was illegal because Congress was not in recess.
102. Forcing Secular Dictates onto Religious Institutions. Coercing Catholic hospitals and other Catholic charities or their insurers to dispense birth control and other services that violate the Church's religious conscience and dictates, inciting a broader war against religion that has seen liberal states drive Catholic adoptive agencies out of business by withdrawing funding from them if they refuse to place orphans in gay households, and scores of liberal Democrats now seeking in Congress to federalize the intrusions. Threatening the historic First Amendment boundaries protecting religious liberty.
103. Fashioning a "Nanny State" That Confiscates Children's Lunch Boxes. Creating a chaotic federal system that authorizes U.S.D.A.-directed government officials to confiscate children's lunch boxes from home -- even when Mom has packed a turkey and cheese sandwich, a banana, an apple, and some chips -- because Mom's healthy lunch did not meet the U.S.D.A. profile.
104. Suing Texas over Their Voter ID Requirement. Employing the Justice Department to sue the State of Texas for their simply requiring voters to present photo identification on election days, as several other states do in the growing nationwide effort to overcome widespread voter fraud.
105. The Sandra Fluke Nonsense. Personally phoning to encourage veteran 30-year-old radical-left activist and recent law student Sandra Fluke, a political surrogate managed and promoted by former White House communications director Anita Dunn, who admires mass murderer Mao Tse Tung. Fluke absurdly had (i) claimed that law school students like her need to spend $3,000 to pay for birth control while in law school -- even though quality birth control can be purchased for $9 a month ($108 a year = $324 for three years of law school); and (ii) demands that health insurers be required to pay for sex change operations.
106. New EPA Regulations Aimed at Killing the Coal Industry. Bypassing Congressional efforts to prevent "Cap and Trade" by having EPA issue new regulations that would drive new coal plants out of business, raising energy costs in America to unprecedented heights in an effort to force Americans to support failed "Green Energy" projects.
107. The Failed Effort to "Reset" America's Relations with Russia. Frankly revealing to Russia's titular head, President Dmitry Medvedev, near an open microphone that, if reelected, Obama expects the "flexibility" to give Russia massive new concessions during foreign arms talks with Vladimir Putin -- continuing Obama's failed "reset" policy that has included canceling the Polish-Czech missile-defense system, agreeing to a START treaty that Russia wanted and needed but that we did not, opening Russia to access the World Trade Organization, and congratulating Puitin when he won a rigged election. In return, Russia continually obstructs our efforts to restrain Iran, actually built the Iranian nuclear reactor at Bushehr, and continues to arm Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad to massacre his people.
108. The Remarkably Arrogant Attack on the Supreme Court's Responsibility of Judicial Review. Attacking in both threatening and sophomoric tones the authority of the U.S. Supreme Court to conduct judicial review consonant with Marbury v. Madison, 5 U.S. 137 (1803), and reflecting surprising ignorance of basic constitutional law by completely confusing the differences between judicial review and judicial activism, even threatening the justices if they fail to uphold his 2,700-page healthcare law.
109. Empowering Out-of-Control Agency Heads. Until finally exposed and embarrassed by the newsmedia, refusing to remove or rein-in oppressive agency administrators like Al Armendariz, the administrative head in the EPA Region 6 Dallas office, who publicly told an audience that his approach to administering environmental regulations is to "crucify" the first few alleged violators whom he finds, much as the ancient "Romans used to, you know, conquer villages inn the Mediterranean. They'd go into a little Turkish town somewhere, they'd find the first five guys they saw, and they'd crucify them. And then, you know, that town was really easy to manage for the next few years."
110. Degrading the Dignity of the Nation's Highest Office. Making a mockery of his office by "slow-jamming"on shows like Jimmy Kimmel's late-night talk show and conducting himself ultra-cool to the point of cheapening the Presidency.
111. Sixteen Vacations in Three Years. At an inestimable cost to taxpayers during some of the hardest economic times in the past century, sixteen family vacations in three years.
112. Threatening and Intimidating Private Citizens for Supporting His Opponent. Having one if his reelection campaign websites name and smear the personal reputations of certain individual private citizens donating to the Romney campaign.
113. Unilaterally Bypassing Congress to Hand the Hamas-PA Administration Nearly $200 Million. Waiting for the late-Friday "news dump" window to bypass Congress's freeze of funding for the Palestinian Administration that illegally declared statehood and sought UN recognition, violated treaty obligations by merging with the Hamas terrorist body, and that continues to sponsor and laud terror, authorizing sending them $192 million.
114. Presenting the Medal of Freedom to Mary Robinson. Choosing to confer the President's highest civilian award to an apologist for Jew-hatred, the U.N. activist who organized and praised the 2001 Durban Conference, an opponent of American national security interests, who as former Irish president gave millions to Arafat's Palestinian terror network via the PLO.
115. Despicably Intimating that Romney Would Not Have OK'd Killing Bin Laden. Abusing the decision he made -- a decision that any President, even Jimmy Carter, would have made -- to authorize Navy Seal Team 6 to take out Bin Laden by saying in campaign ads that Romney would not have done the same.
116. Handing $6 Million in Obamacare Funding to His Golfing Partner's Hospital. Selecting for a nearly $6 million federal grant the hospital where (i) Pres. Obama's golfing buddy, Eric Whitaker, will run the funded program; (ii) Valerie Jarrett was chairman of the board; and where (iii) Michelle Obama had enjoyed an annual salary of $316,962 in 2005; $273,618 in 2006; went part-time at $103,633 in 2007 as the couple prepared for the Presidential run; and $62,709 in 2008 for unused vacation time and a supplemental executive retirement plan.
117. Incompetent Oversight of Duplicative and Wasteful $18 Billion Jobs-Training Program. Failing for four years to integrate 47 duplicative and overlapping federal jobs programs run by nine different federal agencies, costing $18 billion, with such results as: (i) training for jobs that do not exist; (ii) extravagant meals and bonuses unrelated to merit for trainers; and (iii) one workforce took more than 100 gambling trips to casinos mostly during work hours.
118. National Security Leaks Endangering Americans. Failing to secure the inner White House Administration as sources for repeatedly leaking sensitive national security information, endangering Americans and our allies, including but not limited to leaks regarding (i) the Stuxnet internet virus that set back Iranian nuclear development, (ii) the Pakistani physician , Dr. Shakil Afridi, who helped American intelligence nail Osama bin Laden, (iii) the so-called "Terrorist Kill List," and (iv) the embedded double-agent in Yemen who helped identify coordinates for killing an Al Qaeda leader in Yemen.
119. Tone Deafness to Economic
Collapse by Saying the "Private Sector is Doing Fine." Reflecting
abysmal ignorance of the
suffering of average Americans in the Amrican economy by
telling reporters in mid-June 2012 that the "private sector is doing
fine," even as
Standard & Poors was reaffirming its long-term negative outlook on
the Obama economy.
